The Department of Education visited the college adopted school, Neihlaia Memorial Middle School, at Hmuifang on the 13th April 2022 (Wednesday). Thirty five UG students, ten PG students and eight faculty members made up the team.
The students were divided into groups with a different topic of study assigned to each group such as:
- Profile of the institution
- Availability of infrastructure
- Provision of co-curricular activities
- Problems faced by parents
- Problems faced by teachers
- Schemes, services and programs organized
Reports are to be submitted as soon as possible to the faculty of the department.
Gifts in the form of old clothes and shoes, pencils, snacks and other stationery items were presented to the school along with a wall clock.
The principal of the school informed the department about various needs of the school such as
- A new greenboard for Class V Classroom
- Repair of leaking water tank
There was good interaction between the school teachers and the department, between the students of both institutions, and the excitement and eagerness of the school students in interacting with their visitors was felt.
The department gathered at Hmuifang Tourist Resort for late lunch, photo session and small interaction. The team left Hmuifang at about 4:30 pm by the college bus and another bus hired by the department for the occasion.
