An NSS blood donation drive was held at the college premises on Wednesday, the 20th July 2016. A total of 139 units of blood were harvested from 104 male students and 35 female. This is an encouraging increase from the blood camp held three months ago in April when only 48 units of blood were donated. The low number of female donors is due to the fact that many fail the height and weight eligibilty criteria.
An awareness campaign was held the previous afternoon with the Association for Voluntary Blood Donation, Mizoram. Mr. C. Lalnunnema, General Secretary, and Dr. Lily Chhakchhuak, Consultant, Blood Bank, Aizawl Civil Hospital, addressed the assembly. All classes were suspended from 12.40 pm onwards for the campaign which was presided over by the Principal, Mr. _.
