As stakeholders of the institution, parents have an important role to play in the well-being and development of the college. But with parents being busy adults engaged in their own work and concerns, it is difficult to meet them often. There is however an annual Parents-Teachers Meet.

In 2009, the English dept. decided to gather parents of the English department students to discuss the college educational system and what was expected of their children since college is so different from school. It was found to be very helpful on both sides so in 2011, with the introduction of the semester system, the then College Principal, Dr. Sangkima, decided to adopt it as a college practice with every department having such meets with parents of every fresh batch of students.

The Parents-Teachers Meet is held every July, a few weeks after the commencement of the 1st semester classes. Parents are introduced to the college regulations, the examination system, the UGC insistence on good class attendance, etc etc. There is always very good interaction at the Meets. However, an unfortunate drawback is that with perhaps 70% of students coming from rural backgrounds, many parents cannot attend the Meets, sending representatives in the form of relatives, hostel wardens, etc instead. Reports on the Meets are made by every Department with any relevant feedback or suggestions by parents noted and submitted to the Principal.

In the 2019-2020 session, a survey was conducted by the Curricular Aspects Cell for parents of the 6th semester students. The questionnaire and parents' feedback are uploaded below -
