An awareness campaign on Drug Abuse Prevention was held on the 19th October 2023 at the Mualpui Conference Hall at 2 pm. The programme was organized by the District Level Committee on Ruihhlo Do and the NSS-GAC Unit. It was chaired by Dr. Lalsangzuala Khiangte, Vice Principal and Associate Professor, Political Science.

The Resource Person was Pi Vanlalruati, one of the four Resource Persons of the District Level Committee on Ruihhlo Do. Short speeches were also presented by Prof. Malsawmliana, Secretary, District Level Committee on Ruihhlo Do and Pu Francis Lallawmkima, Addl. S.P. Aizawl and Member of the Committee. They all spoke on the dangers of drug abuse with its physical, moral and legal implications, presenting state-wise statistics and data, and strongly urged the assembled students to avoid such unhealthy practices.

Ninety two (92) 5th semester students from the Education, English, History and Mizo departments, and seven faculty members attended the programme.
