The Mizoram State Commission for Women, in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, New Delhi, conducted an awareness program on “Prevention of HIV/AIDS Among Women in Mizoram” on the 27th October 2023 at the college Conference Hall, Mualpui Campus. The programme was chaired by Mrs. Zonunpari Sailo, Member Secretary, Mizoram State Commission for Women, and a special address was delivered by Mrs. Delina Khongdup, Member, National Commission for Women, New Delhi.
The technical sessions included speeches on various themes related to HIV/AIDS delivered by various staff members of the Mizoram State Aids Control Society and SHALOM. A lively interaction session followed in which many students raised relevant questions to the experts.
The programme was attended by 135 students from the 5th semester - 70 from Political Science and 65 from Sociology, as well as seven faculty members. The event successfully concluded at around 4 pm.
