The Mentoring Cell conducted a Capacity Building Programme on Mentoring on the 7th July 2023 at 1 pm at the college conference hall at Mualpui. Ms. Eva Lalrampari, Asst. Professor, Institute of Advanced Studies in Education was the Resource Person. Mrs. Zothanchami Zote, Associate Professor, Dept. of Education, and member of the Mentoring Cell, chaired the programme.
The Resource Person elaborated on all the aspects of mentoring including improving effectiveness of processes and resources, the importance of mentors with all the strategies and methods by which they can establish healthy relations with their mentees, the benefits of mentoring for both mentors and mentees etc.
The programme was attended by 47 faculty members. It was brought to an end by Dr. Vanlalngaii, Associate Professor, Education, and Chairperson of the Mentoring Cell.
Mentoring was first introduced in the college in 2016 and later mandated by the Govt. of Mizoram in 2019. It is presently one of the college's Best Practices under IQAC.
