In the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Football Championship 2022 held between the 25th October – 7th November 2022, the Govt. Aizawl College College football team emerged victorious after beating out the competition. The tournament was organised for college and university-level teams, and seven institutions participated. The matches were played in a league system and GAC won all their matches with one draw. On the last day, the team beat Govt. T. Romana College 5 - 0 in its last league match at the Ramhlun Sport Complex.
The college will receive a trophy, medals, certificates and Rs. 25,000/-in cash on the 3rd December 2022 at a prize-distribution function.
