GAC has a new government-appointed Principal, Prof. C. Sangluaii who joined us on the 26th July 2019 from Govt. Serchhip College. We welcome her and wish her a happy stay here. She takes over from Mr. Lalremliana who was the acting Principal from March 2018.
Professor C. Sangluaii, d/o C. Kapchawla (L), was born and brought up in Serchhip, Mizoram. After graduating from Serchhip College, she joined NEHU for her Masters in English. On completion, in February 1984 she began working at Serchhip College as a lecturer in the English Department and worked there continously except for a brief period between 1995 to 1997 when she was Controller of Exams (School Education) in the Lai district.
In 2003, she received her Ph.D. from Mizoram University, and holds the distinction of being in the first batch of scholars to receive a doctorate degree from MZU.
She was awarded a Professorship in March 2017.
She was appointed Principal of Govt. Aizawl College by the Govt. of Mizoram on the recommendation of the Mizoram Public Service Commission on the 15th July 2019, and joined the college on the 26th July.
She lives in Mission Veng with her husband and three sons.
