The college has been requisitioned as a Quarantine Facility with effect from the 14th June 2020 until further orders by the Govt. of Mizoram as per order issued by the District Commissioner. It is expected to accommodate bus drivers and conductors who had been ferrying stranded migrants arriving back in Mizoram at Bairabi and elsewhere.
This means that the college establishment office will not function until the requisition period is over.
Three faculty members, Mr. Lalbiakzuala (History), Mr. Rochamliana (Mizo) and Mr. Zorinfela (Commerce) are also appointed as officers-in-charge at the facility. They join Dr. Andrew Lalsangzela Sailo (Economics) , Mr. K. Lalhruaia (History) and Mr. Lalmalsawma Khiangte (Poltical Science) who are also serving as officers-in-charge in other quarantine facilities within Aizawl.
