Doctorate Degree for Mrs. R. Laldampuii, Sociology Dept.

Mrs. R. Laldampuii, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Sociology, has earned a Ph.D. from Adamas University, Kolkota with her thesis on "The Role of NGOs in Preventing HIV/ AIDS: a Study of Female Sex Workers in Aizawl, Mizoram." She had her viva on the 16th January and was subsequently awarded the degree. She is the first faculty member in the Sociology Department to have a doctorate degree.
