The Dept. of English held an Open House Felicitation programme for the new English graduates on the 20.7.2023 at the college Conference Hall. The programme was chaired by Mrs. Elizabeth L. Hmar, Associate Professor, and attended by the 5th semester English Core class. The new graduates shared their experiences and advice for their juniors, and were each gifted a memento presented by their individual mentors. The programme was attended by 67 students and 8 faculty members.
The department has been organising annual felicitation programmes for their graduates for several years as part of their Open House departmental activities. Both students and faculty make regular monetary contributions to the Open House Fund.
Out of the 58 English Core candidates for the 2023 University examinations, 52 successfuly graduated.
