An ‘Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme’ was organized by the Department of Economics in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell, Govt.Aizawl College on the 9th September 2022 at the Conference Hall, Mualpui Campus.
The Chairman, Dr. Andrew Lalsangzela Sailo, spoke about the rationale behind the programme and Dr. K.Vanrammawia introduced the speaker to the participants.
The session was initiated with a motivational talk by Mr. Lalventluanga, Proprietor, JMV Art Works, who shared his success story and challenges faced during the initial phase of setting up of his business. The resource person highlighted and discussed approaches towards marketing strategies, entrepreneurial skills, business ideas and the common problems faced by entrepreneurs. He motivated and encouraged the students to seek out ways to learn, develop analytical and problem-solving skills and be technically enabled to be a successful entrepreneur.
A total of 101 participants including a few faculty members attended the programme. The programme ended with a concluding remark from Mrs. Rosie Lalmuanpuii, Associate Professor, Department of Economics.
The programme was followed by an official release of the 2022 Department T-shirt by Mr. R. Lalchhuanawma, HOD, Department of Economics.
