The Student Support and Progression Cell (IQAC) organised an online Felicitation programme for rank holders of the UG Examination 2021 on the 13thAugust, 2021. The programme was hosted by Mrs. Lalremveli Chenkual, Associate Professor, Dept. of Mizo, who welcomed all the participants attending both on Zoom and following the live- streamed programme on the college Youtube account. This was followed by a short speech from the Principal, Prof. C. Sangluaii where she expressed her heartiest congratulations to all the rank holders and praised their dedication and hard labour. She further encouraged all the departments of the college to produce toppers in future examinations and ended her speech by wishing all the rank holders great success in their future endeavours.
Mrs. Lalremveli then introduced the rank holders and announced the incentive awards and certificates of appreciation received by them. Dr. Ngurdingliana, former alumni president and son of the founder Principal, addressed the gathering and congratulated the rank holders and explained how the gold medallist award had been instituted by his father and his motives for it. He further expressed his attachment towards the college and urged the Principal and the entire teaching faculty to maintain high academic achievements and to make amendments in areas where it needed.
A short interview of the subject toppers, namely Lalfawndimi from the department of Education and Lalremruata from the department of Hindi, was conducted by Mrs. Florence Lalduhsaki, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce, which was followed by a motivational speech from Mr. Zomuansanga, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Political Science, where he highlighted the importance of self-motivation and stressed on the need of smart working.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by the host.
