A Free Medical Check-Up Programme was organised on July 27, 2023 by the Medical Sub-Committee, Government Aizawl College in collaboration with Trinity Hospital at the Mualpui camous. The objective of the programme was to provide medical check-ups and advice free-of-cost to the students and staff of the College as a fulfillment of one aspect of the MOU signed with Trinity Hospital. The medical team consisted of two doctors (Dr. Regina Lalhriatchhungi and Dr. Lalruattluanga Sailo) and two nurses. A total of 114 faculty members, staff, and students registered themselves for the check-up. Screenings for hypertension, pulse rate and SPO2 were carried out. The most common complaint among the beneficiaries was abdominal pain, for which medicines were prescribed. Further investigations were advised by the doctors for chronic pain. The programme was successfully conducted from 10 AM to 3 PM.
