A free medical clinic was organised by the Medical Committee at Mualpui campus for students and faculty on February 29, 2024 in collaboration with Trinity Hospital, Aizawl, the hospital that the college has signed an MOU with.
Two doctors, namely Dr. Lallawmkimi and Dr. ZD Lalnunsanga, both MBBS, and three attendants, namely, Lalruatsangi and Rita Lalneihkimi, staff nurses, and Thamawii, Pharmacist, came for the purpose. The clinic was held in the Hindi Core room. Members of the Medical Committee sat at the reception counter where all coming for check-up were requested to register themselves in the register book provided for the purpose.
There was free medicine supply exclusively for the sportspersons of the College. As reported by the doctors, a majority of students complained about low and high blood pressure problems and insomnia. There were also some students with nerve problems, stomach problems and irregular menstruation among the (female) students.
No classes were suspended for the medical clinic and students came for checkups during their free periods. Altogether, there were 131 students and faculty who underwent free medical check-up. The medical clinic was open from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
