On the 7th & 8th December 2022, the college organised a College Fest in collaboration with the Mizoram State Aids Control Society (MSACS). MSACS provided sponsorship for the platform to promote and generate awareness of HIV/AIDS, and to this end, an HIV patient who is also an alumnus of the college, courageously spoke about her personal experience with the illness.
The fest was inaugurated by the Minister for Sports & Youth Services at a function organised at the college courtyard. The Minister also inaugurated the new basketball court and gym room.
The programme was also attended by two former faculty members, Pi Laltanpuii and Pi Lalrinpuii, who presented to the Principal, a sizeable cash donation collected by several retired and transferred members of the faculty and staff.
The Fest featured a variety of items for public entertainment provided by various college clubs and extension bodies. A basketball tournament for the different academic departments was also organised. The college is particularly pleased to report the participation of many past students both for the music concert and general attendance. Many undertook tours of the new buildings and premises, and expressed their admiration for the new campus.
It is hoped that the Fest will be an annual event for several years to come.
