GAC Wins First Prize at ZOHANDCO Inter-College Quiz Competition

Government Aizawl College won the First Prize at the ZOHANDCO 10^th National Handloom Day Inter-College Quiz Competition organised by M/s Mizoram Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. (ZOHANCO) during August 6-7, 2024 at Ignite Studio. 

P.C. Zomuanpuia, 5^th Semester, Political Science Department (Roll No. 2202BA367) and P.C. Lalrinmawii, 3^rd Semester, Commerce Department (Roll No. 2302BCOM062) represented the College and won the First Prize carrying a trophy, Mizo shawls, certificates and a cash prize of Rs. 30,000.

On the first night, their opponents were from Govt. Hrangbana College and Govt. T. Romana College; the second night saw them up against their final opponents from Govt. Aizawl North College and Govt. Hrangbana College. They faced 5 rounds consisting of – Question and Answer; Multiple Choice Questions; Buzzer Round; Reasoning Round and then Visual Round. Govt Aizawl College won with 115 points while Govt. Hrangbana College came in second with 60 points and Govt. Aizawl North College came in third with a close score of 55 points.
