Graduation Day 2016 was held on Tuesday the 24th May at Hawla Auditorium. This is the third consecutive year that the college has organised a special day for its outgoing students. Since exam results are usually declared in July when the college academic session is in full swing, the college has been observing a Graduation Day shortly after completion of the University exams and just before many students from outlying areas go back home. Also, the actual degrees are conferred at the annual convocation organised by Mizoram University.

The class of 2016 has 402 students in the Arts and Commerce streams. At the function, the Commerce students presented a welcome song, followed by a speech by the Principal, and a presentation of mementos to all students. J.H. Lalrinzuala of the Mizo department gave a Valedictory speech, while Mr. T. Lalthangfala, Associate Professor, Dept. of Political Science, spoke on behalf of the teaching faculty. One of the highlights of Graduation Day is the light-hearted selection of a Graduation King and Queen and this year, it was Gracewell Vanlalawmpuii of the English dept. and Lallawmzuala of the Mizo dept. who walked away with the honours. A slideshow featuring the students in various activities over their three years in college was screened, which was followed by a farewell song by the teachers. A grand graduation dinner was then served at the college campus.
