On 20 October 2023, the Department of Commerce and the Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell organised an industrial visit to Sailo Machinery, a 27-year-old micro-enterprise located at Salem Veng, Aizawl. A total of 170 B.Com students accompanied by 7 faculty members met the proprietor Lalpiangliana Sailo who gave a motivating speech about the genesis and current position of his firm, exhorting the students to be sincere about their purpose in life and reminded them that mistakes can be good learning opportunities. He also conducted a demonstration tour around his workshop for all the visitors. The students interacted with him and his staff for several hours. Sailo Machinery is primarily engaged in the manufacture of agricultural and forestry machinery.
