An invited lecture on Women’s Participation in the Mizo National Front Movement was organised by the Department of Sociology on the 8th November 2021 at 11:00 am via Zoom Meet. The lecture was delivered by Pi Lalthlamuani Hnamte, who had been a volunteer in the Mizo National Front Movement.

The Invited Lecture was organised in an attempt to educate students on the role played by Mizo women in the political movement, and to address the question of gender role and space. The lecture examined how Mizo women dealt with the socio-economic and political changes in Mizoram. It was conducted for the III  and V Semester Sociology Core students to help them grasp a personalised insight into their prescribed syllabus.

The lecture was livestreamed on the college YouTube channel and is available here
