Incorporating the best practices of the institution, the Mentoring Cell organised Mentoring Day 2023 on the 9th August 2023 at Mualpui Campus. All classes were suspended for the same purpose and time slots were arranged by the concerned cell to ensure manageability of the process.
Time slot for each semester:
10:00 – 11:30 – All 1st Semester B.A/ B.Com
11:30 – 1: 00 - All 5th Semester B.A / B.Com
1:00 – 1:30 - Break
1:30 onwards – All 3rd Semester B.A / B.Com
Rooms were allotted to each faculty mentor so that they could engage with their mentees on a private and confidential level. Mentors were asked to submit record of details of their mentees and report specific issues raised by them. The entire session was carried out successfully by all mentors following the guidelines and reporting format prepared by the concerned cell. The reports were submitted to the Heads of respective departments for onward documentation to the Cell members for further references.
Starting from this academic session, that is July 2023, the Mentoring Cell introduced a Mentoring Log Book designed and formatted for all 1st Semester students in which details and academic records of the student mentees are to be recorded. The booklet will also record reports of details and issues raised at every Mentor –Mentee meeting and will be duly signed by both parties.
Mentoring Day 2023 successfully served the purpose of catering to the needs of the students on both the academic and personal level.
