The NAAC Peer Team today concluded their three-day visit to Govt. Aizawl College.
The team consisted of Chairman Prof. N.M. Kondap, Director General, Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, Co-ordinator Prof, Niranjan Roy, Director of Internal Quality Assurance, Assam University, Silchar, and Member Dr. S. Khandu, Principal, Govt. College Bomdila, Arunachal Pradesh.
Arriving on the 4th October, they spent the next three days conducting meetings with the Principal, IQAC Coordinators, teaching faculty, office staff, and representatives of the state government and Mizoram University. Interaction was also held with students, parents and alumni. They also visited the new college campus at Mualpui which is still in the early stages of development though the women's hostel and Commerce block are practically ready. The team also visited the new language lab, and offices of the Literature Club, NSS, Medical cell, NCC, Youth Adventure Club, Evangelical Union, Students' Union, college canteen and the college library. A cultural programme was held in their honour on the evening of October 5th.
After writing and finalizing their report, an exit meeting was held with the faculty and staff on the morning of October 7th where all team members expressed observations and suggestions on their experiences associated with the college. The all-important NAAC assessment report was handed over to the college Principal, Mr. _. The grading will be known a month or so later after the assessment and accreditation process is completed.
The college thanks the team members for their patience and congeniality, and wishes them all a happy reunion with their families.
