Students from the Commerce and Economics Departments (4th & 6th Semesters) attended the Celebration of National Startup Day Mizoram Edition organised by Mizoram Startup Mission (MSUM), Planning & Programme Implementation Department, Government of Mizoram on the 16th January 2023. The programme was held at the Dawrpui Multipurpose Hall. It was conducted as a workshop consisting of an awareness session by Dr. Lalsangliani, Asst. Professor, ICFAI University Mizoram; a startup quiz hosted by R. Lalhmingthanga, Assoc. Professor, Govt. Johnson College, and a Gamestorming session by Lalnunmawii Ralte, Asst. Professor, Govt. Aizawl College. Entrepreneurs also shared stories of their startup journey.
The students left the programme with added knowledge about the technical terms relating to startups, how entrepreneurship can solve human-centred problems and how a creative mindset can be inculcated through structured games.
