As per notifications issued by the Govt. of Mizoram, Higher & Technical Education department, dated 16th February 2018, Mr. Lalremliana, Associate Prof., Dept. of Economics, will take charge as Acting Principal of Govt. Aizawl College, with effect from the 1st March 2018.

He will take over from Mr. Lalrinawma, Associate Prof., Dept. of History, and Acting Principal since January 2013, who is due to retire on superannuation pension from the 28th February 2018, along with Mr. H. Rosema, Associate Prof., Dept. of Economics, and Dr. Irene Zopari, Associate Professor, Dept. of Mizo.
