As per notification of the Government of Mizoram, Government Aizawl College will resume offline classes for the II, IV and VI Semesters from March 8, 2021 (Monday).    

Since we are still living in an unprecedented time because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we need to be cautious and vigilant so as to avoid unnecessary interruptions or disruptions. Every person is requested to follow SOP diligently to sustain a healthy and safe college campus in this unique environment. 

For the proper implementation of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Re-opening of Universities, Colleges, Training, Coaching and other Technical and Non-Technical Higher Institutions other than Schools – Post Lockdown due to COVID 19 Pandemic issued by the Higher & Technical Education Department, Government of Mizoram, and for the safety of the college community, a number of instructions and directions have been issued as follows: 

 

1) All students should bring the Parental Consent Form duly filled up and they should submit the Forms to their respective Head of Department on the opening day of college (i.e., March 8, 2021) through their teachers. Students are not allowed to enter their classroom without submitting the Consent Form.      

 2) As required by the SOP, a wash basin has been installed at the entrance of the Old Campus, Sikulpuikawn, and New Campus, Mualpui respectively. It is not permitted to enter the college campus without washing your hands. A Register Book is placed by the wash basin and all who enter the college campus should register their names accordingly without fail.          

 3) A single Entry Point has been arranged at both the Sikulpuikawn Campus and Mualpui Campus. Temperature of those who enter the buildings will be thoroughly checked by using Infrared Thermometer (Thermal Scanner) at the Entry Points. The process might take longer than expected and your kind forbearing is solicited.        

 4) For precautionary measures, it is mandatory for all teaching faculty members, non-teaching staff and students to wear their College ID Cards at all times on the college campuses. Teaching faculty members and non-teaching staff will provide themselves with their own card holders. Students will have to  procure a card holder (with string) from the college office by paying Rs. 20/- 

 5) Separate Isolation Rooms are prepared at both the Sikulpuikawn and Mualpui Campus for emergency situations. Those who develop or display suspected symptoms should be isolated at once in these designated facilities and further action will be followed as required.           

 6) Wearing of masks inside the college campus is mandatory. It is not permissible to enter the college premises without wearing a mask.

 7) Avoid huddling in a group inside the college campus. Social distancing or physical distancing should be followed as far as feasible.     

 8) Always provide yourself with a hand sanitizer. Try to avoid using public water dispenser and instead, bring your own bottle of water for safe drinking during the COVID 19 pandemic. 

 9) In order to maintain safety measures, pens, pencils, books, mobile phones or laptops should not be shared. Our essential instruments and gadgets should be sanitized and disinfected on a regular basis.     

 10) Personal hygiene and maintaining our body clean during the COVID 19 pandemic is crucial for promoting good health. Every part of the college campus should be kept clean and tidy. Spitting inside the campus is strictly prohibited.     

 11) Care should be taken while using various protective equipment for COVID 19 arranged inside the campus. Reckless damage of the equipment may invite penalty.  

 12) Due to the scarcity of water, judicious use of water needs to be practised while washing hands. 

 13) To ensure adherence to preventive and precautionary measures to combat COVID 19, installation and use of Aarogya Setu App. on your mobile phones is strongly advised.
