With the new academic session starting on the 3rd July 2023, the college conducted Orientation sessions for 1st semester students on the 4th and 5th July. The programme was organized by the Student Support & Progression Cell, and held at the college Conference Hall, Mualpui campus. The orientation programme was split up into four sessions as follows:

4th July, 10 - 12 : English and Political Science Majors
4th July, 1 - 3 pm : Commerce, Hindi and Sociology Majors
5th July, 10 - 12 : Economics and Education Majors
5th July, 1 - 3 pm : History and Mizo Majors

All sessions were chaired by senior faculty members, with the Principal making a welcome speech at the start of each session. The students were briefed on the institution’s history and achievements, followed by several presentations delivered by select faculty members on distinctives and values in terms of practices and traditions expected of the students. These included college rules and regulations, manners and etiquette on campus, student mentoring, and social media and platforms utilized by the college for dissemination of information. The students were also thoroughly acquainted with the new NEP educational system that is being introduced in this new academic session. Representatives of the Students’ Union also addressed the freshers on the services and functions of the Students’ Union.

Out of the total of 683 new enrollments in the 1st semester as reported by the Principal, 550 new students participated in the two day orientation.
