A Parents' - Teachers' Meet was held on the 14th July at Sikulpuikawn for parents and guardians of 1st semester Arts students. A similar programme was held the next day for Commerce students at Mualpui.
The Parents' - Teachers' Meet is a tradition practised by the college for several years with the intention of acquainting parents with the faculty, the college premises and classrooms, as well as providing them with crucial information on the academic system, college rules and regulations, book requirements, necessity of providing feedback for IQAC purposes, etc etc.
The meets were conducted department-wise at 1 pm, with parents being received with tea and snacks at the entrance by 5th semester volunteers who then escorted the parents/guardians to their respective classrooms. Senior faculty in each department then addressed the parents, appraising them of necessary information for their children. There was excellent interaction with the parents making enquiries regarding issues such as availability of bus service, hostel accommodation, when the 1st semester would be expected to move to the new campus at Mualpui, etc etc. All queries were satisfactorily answered by the teachers.
