The Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell of the College organised a two-day workshop titled Problem Identification Skills: A Capacity Building Workshop for Undergraduate Sportspersons” during September 18 &19, 2023 at the Conference Hall, Sikulpuikawn campus.

The workshop was conducted by two resource persons who focused on a two-pronged approach towards problem identification. Lalnunmawii Ralte, Master Trainer in entrepreneurship under Mizoram StartUp Mission (MSUM), Planning and Programme Implementation Department, Government of Mizoram and a Design Thinking coach under Mizoram University Incubation Centre, taught the attendees about the importance of having a macro perspective on problem identification as well as the basics of entrepreneurship. She also made them aware of the work done by MSUM. The second resource person was Rebecca Vanlalruati who is a psychologist certified in sports counselling. She spoke about the concept of S.M.A.R.T goal setting, cognitive restructuring and other concepts that can empower the sportspersons. She also taught them breathing exercises and other self-reflection exercises.

 The 30 trainees were taught how to identify actionable problems on a systemic level as well as at the individual level. The training was also attended by 8 faculty members.
