The college Employees’ Welfare Association organized a farewell for Professor Chawngsailova, Dept. of Political Science, on the 30th January 2024 as he retires on superannuation pension with effect from the 31st January.
Prof. Chawngsailova graduated from Pachhunga University College with Political Science Honours in 1983 and went on for his postgraduate studies at NEHU Shillong. He finished his MA in June 1985 and married Pi Thuamliani Renthlei in September 1985.
In March 1986, he joined Lawngtlai College as a lecturer in the Political Science dept. but left three months later to join Kolasib College. In 1998, he was awarded a Ph.D. degree. In 2011, he was transferred to Govt. Aizawl College, as was his wife several years later. In 2014, he was awarded Professorship to become the first ever Professor in the dept. of Political Science in Mizoram colleges.
We wish him a happy and healthy retirement at his home at Chawlhhmun with his children and grandchildren.
