Dr. Chawngsailova, Associate Professor, Dept. of Political Science, and Dr. L.Gyanendra Singh, Associate Professor, Dept. of Commerce, have been placed to the post of Professor, with effect from 1.11.2014 and 1.12.2015 respectively as per Govt. of Mizoram, Higher and Technical Education Department notification dated 2nd December 2016.
Dr. Chawngsailova, born 26.1.1962, graduated from Pachhunga University College in 1983 with honours in Political Science. In 1988, he received a Ph.D degree from NEHU Shillong for his doctoral thesis Mizo National Front and its Role in Mizoram Politics. In March 1986, he began working at Kolasib College as lecturer in the dept. of Political Science. He joined Govt. Aizawl College in May 2011. He has written and published three books, "Ethnic National Movement in the Role of the MNF", "Mizoram during 20 Dark Years", and "Ram Ropui". Besides these, he also has a number of national and international publications. He lives at Chawlhhmun, Aizawl with his wife and four children.
Dr. L. Gyanendra Singh, born 1.1.1959, graduated from DM College of Arts and Commerce in Imphal, Manipur in 1980. He joined Govt. Aizawl College in April 1986 as lecturer in the dept. of Commerce. In 2012, he was awarded a Ph.D degree from Mizoram University for his thesis on Marketing Practices of Life Insurance Corporation of India with Reference to Mizoram. He has published a number of articles in national and international publications. He lives in the New Secretariat Complex, Aizawl, with his wife and two children.
