The college Research and Development Committee visited the college adopted village of Hmuifang on the 23rd and 24th February 2023, spending two nights at the Tourist Lodge there. This was a follow-up to the pilot survey programme visit a month. The team consisted of three faculty members and eight 6th semester students (four from Economics and four from Commerce). They scouted out the entire village during their stay.

A meeting was organised with the village authorities (NGOs) where the centre of discussion was on how to develop village tourism and create sustainable development. Questionnaires and interviews with the locals were also carried out by the students. These were recorded by the students and as per the results, major steps are soon to be taken by the Committee.
