A seminar on “Gandhian Philosophy, in commemoration of the 154th birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi” was organised on the 3rd October 2023 in Room 505 at Sikulpuikawn campus by the Department of Education. L. Lalrammuana, Class Representative, 1st Semester M.A., hosted the event.
Dr. J. Lalhriatpuii, Assistant Professor, opened the seminar with a presentation on the topic “The Life and Legacy of Mahatma Gandhi”. This was followed by Zonunsangi Fanai’s speech on “A brief outline of Gandhi’s philosophy”. T. Lalthanzauva then spoke on “Gandhi’s contribution to Education” and Laldinsangi Ralte talked on “Gandhi’s Philosophy and Today’s Education”. Lalpekhlui was the rapporteur. All three presenters, host and rapporteur are from the 1st Semester MA. Dr. Mary L Renthlei, Convener, MA (Education) proposed a vote of thanks.
A total of 33 participants (28 students and 5 faculty members) attended the seminar.
