The Department of Mizo organised a “Special Lecture on the Mizo Language” on the 4th September 2023 at the college Conference Hall, Mualpui. The programme was chaired by Professor C. Vanlalhruaia, Head of the Mizo Department.
The Resource Person was Pu C. Chhuanvawra (Padmashree Awardee), an expert on the Mizo language, having served on many School Syllabus boards and committees. His talk centred on the nature and structure of the Mizo language, its improper usage today, and tonal aspects of the language. A fruitful interaction followed his presentation.
The programme was attended by 115 students of the 3rd and 5th semester Mizo Core, as well as 7 faculty members. It was brought to a close with a vote of thanks from Mrs. Lalchhandami, Associate Professor.
