Veronica Lalthanzuali, 3rd sem B, History Core, received a Self-Support Award at the Students' Self-Support Union (SSU) annual general conference at Govt. Champhai College on the 19th October 2019. She received the prestigious award along with two other young students, from Pachhunga University College and J.L. Higher Secondary School respectively. The award carries a citation and cash prize of Rs. 10000/-
Veronica, alongwith her friend C. Lallawmzuali, 3rd sem A, Mizo Core, turned their scholarships into seed money to begin an online shopping page on Instagram. They later diversified into a small karaoke bar at Chawngvawr Resort.
