With the backing of the Students' Support & Progression Cell, sixteen (16) students from both Arts and Commerce streams attended a week-long Skilled Training of Rural Youth (STRY) on Integrated Pest Management in Crops between the 9th - 13th March 2020. It was organised by the State Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute, an autonomous institution under the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Mizoram. The department conducted the training following the special focus on implementation of the STRY in North Eastern states by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Govt. of India. DA were borne by SAMETI for all trainees for the duration of the course.
A training session on "Artemesia Plantation" was also delivered by Mrs. Vanlalsawmi, Head of the Department of Education, Govt. Aizawl College.
