Established in 1875, BSE (formerly known as Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd.) is Asia's first stock exchange. It set up an Investors’ Protection Fund (IPF) on July 10, 1986, responsible for creating capital market-related awareness. BSE IPF works with schools, colleges, universities, research centers, policy advisory entities and trade associations by contributing financial resources, manpower, educational material, and other content for events, seminars and conferences. BSE's popular equity index - the S&P BSE SENSEX - is India's most widely tracked stock market benchmark index.

In all, 123 students and faculty members attended the two programs.
