The Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell organised a 3-day workshop titled Creative Catalyst during December 4 to 6, 2023 at Mualpui campus. While 25 students registered for the workshop, only 8 could finish the training programme.

On December 4, 2023, the trainees interacted with Miss Lalthlamuani, founder of EcoFar who has won numerous awards in her field. As a self-made entrepreneur who supported herself all through her BBA course, she now provides a sustainable source of livelihood to more than 300 farmers of Leisenzo village in rural Mizoram.

On Day Two (i.e. December 5), the trainees were introduced to the practice of working within constraints. They learnt how creativity is not just about art and artists and that it is actually about finding patterns, making connections and generating solutions. The resource person for the day was Ms.Lalnunmawii Ralte, Master Trainer in Entrepreneurship under Mizoram Startup Mission. She brought practical examples to demonstrate how innovation is applied in real life businesses across the world. In the afternoon, she gave a lecture on a relatively new concept called design thinking. Each trainee was sent home with a book about big Indian businesses to be read during their winter break.

Day Three (December 6) was about fostering communication and creative decision-making. The morning started off with a guest lecture titled ‘Learning Basic Hindi Phrases for Business’ by Ms Lalnunsiami, Asst Professor, Hindi Dept. In the afternoon, Ms Lalnunmawii Ralte gave a lecture on ‘Turning Creativity Into A Robust Business Strategy’.  The evening saw the trainees making a choice out of 4 options to apply their training lessons at the GAC Fest 2023. Proceeds from their chosen simulated business was distributed equally amongst the trainees and a portion was donated to their class fund.
